Baptisms

As Lutherans, we recognize two sacraments — Baptism and Holy Communion. In baptism, we believe God makes a holy covenant with us to live among God's faithful people; to hear the word of God and share in the Lord's Supper; to proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed; to serve all people following the example of Jesus; and to strive for justice and peace in all the earth. In most cases, we practice infant baptism, but people of any age can be baptized. We include baptisms as part of our Sunday worship services because the whole church family promises to help nurture the newly baptized in the Christian faith. If you are interested in being baptized or having your child be baptized, please contact our Pastor.

Weddings

Lutheran weddings focus on services that praise God and honor the marital union. Our historic sanctuary is a beautiful backdrop for a wedding ceremony that confirms a couple's desire for God's blessing on their union. Because music is a centerpiece of the marriage worship service, our Music Director is available to help guide couples in choosing appropriate music for their ceremony. We also have a Wedding Coordinator available to help with arranging everything down to the smallest detail. If you are interested in being married at St. Michael's, please contact our Pastor.

Funerals and Memorial Services

When a loved one enters into eternal rest, St. Michael's is there to support his or her family during their time of mourning. Our Pastor is available to work with local funeral homes or with the family directly to plan funerals and memorial services. St. Michael's Fellowship Hall is available for use to host a post-service reception. For more information, please contact our Pastor.
