All women of St. Michael's are encouraged to join the Women of St. Michael's (WOSM) as they meet monthly for devotions, programs, refreshments and good fellowship. WOSM organizes service projects, such as making school, baby and personal hygiene kits for Lutheran World Relief, providing meals for families in need, coordinating book clubs, hosting church receptions at members' funerals, organizing church-wide tag sales for the benefit of Lutheran World Relief. The group also enjoys occasional off-site retreats and day trips that have included weekend cabin camping, hiking and visits to New York City for times of extended fellowship.
Thoughout the year, the Fellowship Committee coordinates a number of seasonal events, all marked with a vibrant atmosphere of delicious food and drink and lively fellowship. Whatever your interest — the Valentine's Day Dinner, the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, the “Grubby Sunday” Lunch, the Easter Breakfast, Memorial Day Parade watching from the front plaza, church picnics, the Oktoberfest Celebration, Cookies and Cocoa on Christmas Eve, or all of the above! — you're sure to have a wonderful time with friends.
If you're interested in gardening, we've got the perfect group for you — the Botanical Bunch. This volunteer group coordinates with our Property Committee to bring beauty to various areas of the church grounds in the Spring, Summer and Fall, ensuring that flower beds and container plantings look cheerful and inviting for our members and visitors.
